David Lahneman, PhD, currently serves as a Senior Engineer at WEINERT Fiber Optics Inc since April 2022. Prior to this role, David was a Research Physicist at the U.S. Naval Research Laboratory from May 2021 to April 2022, where the focus was on high-powered, pulsed, ultraviolet lasers to engineer nanoscale quantum materials for national defense applications. David's academic background includes a PhD in Physics from William & Mary, where dissertation research was conducted from September 2014 to May 2021, and a Master of Science in Physics from the same institution. Before academia, David worked as an Integrated Avionics Specialist with the United States Air Force from April 2008 to April 2014. David also holds a Bachelor's of Science in Applied Physics from Towson University.
