Joel DeKock, PhD, has over 25 years of experience in applications and process engineering with a focus on materials processing using laser technology at Preco since 1996. Prior to this, Joel served as a Research Associate at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, working on the recycling of fly-ash with aluminum. Additional roles include Process Engineer at Fansteel-Wellman Dynamics, Research Aide at Ames Lab, Laboratory Assistant and Adjunct Professor at the University of Northern Iowa, and Millwright at Brandco, Inc. Joel holds a Ph.D. in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, a Bachelor of Engineering in Metallurgical Engineering from Iowa State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Industrial Technology Education from the University of Northern Iowa.
