Samantha Kops

Senior Vice President, Media Relations at Weber Shandwick

Samantha Kops has a diverse work experience in the field of media relations and communications. Starting in 2010, they worked as a PR Intern at JCPR, Inc. Samantha then interned at Fleishman-Hillard in 2011, focusing on new business and marketing. Later that year, they joined PR Lab as an Account Supervisor, managing two accounts and supervising a team of Account Executives.

In 2012, Samantha joined MSLGROUP as a Corporate Communications Associate before moving to The Morris + King Company as an Account Executive. Samantha then joined Horn Group in 2013, where they worked as an Account Executive, Senior Account Executive, and eventually as an Account Supervisor. During their time at Horn Group, they specialized in ad tech and consumer technology PR.

In 2016, Samantha joined GroupM as a Global Marketing Communications Manager before being promoted to Senior Marketing Communications Manager. Their role involved managing global marketing communications efforts for the company.

In 2019, Samantha transitioned to Finn Partners as an Associate Vice President. Samantha had a 50/50 role split between account management, new business development, and agency marketing. Samantha also served as the account lead on several technology accounts and worked on high-profile new business leads.

Most recently, in 2021, Samantha joined Weber Shandwick as a Vice President of Media Relations. Samantha was quickly promoted to Senior Vice President, leading the media relations team.

Throughout their career, Samantha has demonstrated their expertise in media relations, account management, new business development, and marketing within the technology and PR industries.

Samantha Kops completed their high school education at Bridgewater Raritan High School. Samantha then pursued a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications at Boston University from 2007 to 2011. During their time at Boston University, they specifically studied Communication and Public Relations at the College of Communication.
