Gijs Van Pruissen is an experienced professional in sustainable energy, currently serving as the Project Initiator for energy neutral and climate neutral initiatives at Waterschap Aa en Maas since March 2021. As Director of ZoNRG BV since January 2018, Gijs focuses on the project development, sales, and installation of large-scale photovoltaic systems. Prior to this, Gijs held the position of Chief Technology Officer at CCS Energie-advies from June 2015 to March 2021, where innovative technologies for sustainable energy production were developed. Gijs also contributed as a consultant in sustainable energy projects and served as Co-founder of Pobeka Solar, promoting photovoltaic rooftop systems. Academic achievements include a PhD from Eindhoven University of Technology, focused on new plastics for solar cell technology, and degrees in Physics and Chemistry from Radboud University. Additionally, Gijs has experience as an owner of a beach volleyball school and has worked as a waiter.
