Elizabeth McCarthy has a diverse work experience in communications and strategy. Elizabeth is currently serving as the Director of Strategy and Communications at Weeneebayko Area Health Authority. Previously, they worked as the Communications Lead at ONE Health Information Technology Services and as the Senior Stakeholder Relations Advisor at Supply Ontario. Elizabeth also worked as a Senior Communications Consultant and the Director of Communications at Weeneebayko Area Health Authority. Elizabeth has experience in leading communication strategies, managing teams, and coordinating resources for pandemic response. Furthermore, they have held roles at Workplace Safety and Insurance Board, Ontario Ministry of Government and Consumer Services, North York General Hospital, Cancer Care Ontario, and AEON Corporation earlier in their career.
Elizabeth McCarthy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science and Religious Studies from Mount Allison University. Elizabeth also has a post-graduate certificate in Public Relations from Humber College. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Strategic Planning and Leading Change from the Smith School of Business at Queen's University, Four Seasons of Reconciliation - Special Campaign 2022 from First Nations University of Canada, and is a member of Ten Thousand Coffees.
