Akhil Alex is a skilled mechanical engineer with extensive experience in design and development roles, currently serving as a Design & Development Engineer at Vulcan Industrial since July 2021. Prior to this position, Akhil held design engineering positions at ST9 Gas + Oil and Franklin Valve LP. Akhil's career also includes significant involvement in competitive racing as a Lead Engineer and Powertrain Engineer with Longhorn Racing, where contributions were made in driver controls and safety systems. Akhil has experience as a Blast Effects Engineering Co-Op at Baker Engineering and Risk Consultants, Inc., and began professional development as an Assistant Technician at Franklin Valve LP. Akhil holds a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from The University of Texas at Austin and completed secondary education at Strake Jesuit College Preparatory.
