Martin Larkman has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and industries. Martin began their career in 2011 as a Senior Associate at Allen & Overy, where they worked until 2014. Martin then joined AIG as the Australasian Manager M&A from 2014 to 2016. During this time, they also worked as the General Counsel and Company Secretary at Energy Locals from 2016 to 2017. In 2016, they joined Bond & Credit Co as the Director and Head of Mergers & Acquisitions, until 2019. In the same year, they joined Volante Global as the Global Head of Volante Transaction Services and Director of Strategic M&A, holding the position of General Counsel and Managing Director until 2022.

- From 2000 to 2003, Martin attended the University of Nottingham where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts degree (BA(Hons)) in Ancient History.
- In 2003, they enrolled at the University of Westminster and completed a Post-Graduate Diploma in Law.
