Mike Pearce is an accomplished Maintenance Manager at Viva Energy Australia, overseeing the Maintenance Department for the Geelong Refinery and Lara LPG Terminal since February 2015, and managing approximately 250 staff and contractors with an annual budget of around $80M. Pearce has extensive experience in leading major projects, including the RCCU 2020 Turnaround with a $100M budget, and capital planning for various projects ranging from $500K to $20M. Previous roles include Mechanical Asset Engineer at Essar Oil (UK) Limited, Applications Engineer at Industrial Tomography Systems Ltd, and Engineer/Intern at SEAMAP (U.K.) Limited. Pearce holds a Master's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Nottingham and has also worked in the resort industry, showcasing a diverse skill set in both engineering and management.
