Thomas (Tom) Watjen is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in corporate governance and leadership across various industries. Currently serving as a Member of the Board of Visitors and President at Virginia Military Institute since July 2017, Watjen has also held board positions at Arch Capital Group Ltd. and Prudential plc. Previously, Watjen was Chairman, President, and CEO at Unum, where a significant leadership role was held for over a decade, and served as Chief Financial Officer at Unum (Provident). Watjen's career also includes senior roles at Morgan Stanley and Aetna, demonstrating a strong background in finance and investment.
