Ryan Thompson is a seasoned engineering professional with extensive experience in process engineering and application development in high-tech industries. Currently serving as a Senior Process Engineer at Viavi Solutions since February 2015, Ryan supports the optimization and manufacturing of advanced optical-interference filters for aerospace, consumer electronics, and automotive applications. Prior experience includes roles as an Application Engineer and Process Engineer at PNI, where Ryan developed software for sensor fusion applications, and a Process Engineer position at Deposition Sciences, Inc., where significant improvements in yield and efficiency were achieved. Additional roles encompass management positions in the food industry and foundational engineering roles at companies like Cymer, Inc. and Unisys. Ryan holds a Ph.D. (ABD) in Materials Science and dual Bachelor of Science degrees in Materials Science and Chemical Engineering from the University of Minnesota.
