Heather Hamilton

Heather Hamilton has a diverse range of work experience. In 2019, they worked as a student extern in the Avian Department and Lorikeet Landing exhibit at the Nashville Zoo. Heather'sresponsibilities included monitoring the bird colony, guiding guest interactions, and participating in the bird breeding program. In 2020, they were a Purina Veterinary Summer Scholars Fellow at Nestle Purina, where they gained valuable experience in the veterinary field. Heather also served as the VBMA Chapter President at Auburn University, coordinating meetings, events, and chapter operations for the Veterinary Business Management Association. Additionally, they were a Student Representative for National Veterinary Associates.

Heather Hamilton received a Bachelor's degree in Biology and Spanish from Transylvania University, where they studied from 2013 to 2017. Currently, they are pursuing a DVM (Doctor of Veterinary Medicine) degree from Auburn University College of Veterinary Medicine, which they began in 2019 and is expected to complete by 2023.
