Richard Lee is an experienced executive in the pharmaceutical industry, currently serving as Executive Director at Verve Therapeutics since September 2021, where work focuses on developing cardiovascular therapeutics using a gene editing platform. Prior to this role, Richard held multiple positions at Ionis Pharmaceuticals, Inc. from February 2007 to August 2021, culminating in the role of Executive Director, and was a key member of the Cardiovascular Drug Discovery Team. Earlier in Richard's career, experience includes a position as Senior Scientist and Postdoctoral Fellow at UCLA from February 2005 to February 2007. Richard Lee holds a PhD in Cellular and Molecular Pathobiology from Wake Forest University School of Medicine and a Bachelor's degree in Biology from Western Oregon University.
