Alberto de Franceschi

Alberto De Franceschi is a distinguished legal professional with extensive experience in international law and delegation roles. Currently serving as an Ordinary Member at the European Academy of Sciences and Arts, as well as in delegate positions for Italy at UNIDROIT and the Hague Conference on Private International Law since May 2023, Alberto also contributes as an Ordinary Member of THE ACADEMIA EUROPAEA. In addition, Alberto has been a delegate for the United Nations Commission on International Trade Law's E-Commerce Working Group and G7 Digital and Technology since 2021 and 2022, respectively. As Chairman of the Sustainability and Environmental Law and Digital Law Special Interest Groups at the European Law Institute, Alberto plays a key role in shaping legal frameworks in these areas. An editor of the EuCML journal, Alberto has previously lectured at the Università degli Studi di Ferrara and conducted research at Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München as an Alexander von Humboldt Foundation Fellow. Alberto holds an LL.M. in Legal Studies from Università degli Studi di Padova and has completed fellowships at the University of Oxford and Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität München.
