Gordon Dawson

Head Of Product Development, Consumer Health at Vectura Fertin Pharma

Gordon Dawson has extensive work experience in the pharmaceutical industry. From 2022 to the present, they have been serving as the Head of Product Development, Consumer Health at Vectura Fertin Pharma. Prior to that, they worked at GSK Consumer Health from 2015 to 2022, where they held the position of R&D VP, Cold and Flu. In this role, they were responsible for defining and implementing the R&D strategy and pipeline to meet business goals. Gordon also oversaw the transformation of the Cold and Flu pipeline through the initiation of innovative projects and the delivery of multiple launches to global markets.

Before joining GSK, Gordon worked at Novartis Consumer Health from 2006 to 2015. During this time, they served as the R&D Integration Lead, where they played a crucial role in the integration of Novartis R&D into the GSK/Novartis Joint Venture. Gordon also held the position of Vice President, Global Product Development, leading a team of 150 scientists and staff and driving innovation and operational targets. Additionally, they served as the Director of Global Product Development - Pain, overseeing the product development strategy and operational management.

Prior to their tenure at Novartis, Gordon worked at Fournier Pharma from 2002 to 2005 as the Head of Formulation and Process Development. Gordon established and managed formulation and process development laboratories and successfully executed multiple product lifecycle management projects.

Gordon's early career experience includes working at CeNeS Drug Delivery from 1997 to 2002 as a Development Manager.

Gordon Dawson earned a BSc in Pharmacy from the University of Strathclyde in 1991, followed by a PhD in Pharmaceutical Science from the same institution in 1995.
