Karl Iagnemma is an accomplished leader in the autonomous mobility sector, currently serving as CEO of Vecna Robotics since October 2024, while also holding the position of Senior Strategy Advisor at Motional since August 2020. Previously, Karl Iagnemma was President and CEO of the Hyundai-Aptiv Autonomous Driving Joint Venture for a brief period in 2020, focusing on the development of production-ready autonomous driving systems. Karl Iagnemma's extensive experience includes serving as President of Autonomous Mobility at Aptiv from 2017 to 2020 and as CEO and co-founder of nuTonomy from 2013 to 2017, specializing in software for driverless fleets. An academic background at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology includes roles as Principal Research Scientist and Director of the Robotic Mobility Group, alongside various teaching and research positions at international institutions. Karl Iagnemma holds a Ph.D. in Robotics from MIT, and a Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Michigan.
