Mohd Anisul Karim currently serves as the Director of Medical Biology at Variant Bio since April 2022. Previously, Mohd held the position of Computational Biologist at the Wellcome Sanger Institute from October 2019 to April 2022 and was a DPhil student at the Big Data Institute, where the focus was on causal epidemiological associations and finding drug targets for inflammatory diseases. Mohd's earlier experience includes working as a Research Fellow at ICDDR,B and serving as a Medical Officer at Dhaka Medical College Hospital. Academically, Mohd holds a DPhil in Population Health from the University of Oxford, a Master's degree in Global Health Science from the same institution, MRCP (UK) from the Royal College of Physicians, and an MBBS from Holy Family Red Crescent Medical College Hospital in Dhaka.
