Frode Ottesen has a strong background in subsea engineering, with experience spanning over 20 years. Frode currently holds the position of Principal Subsea Engineer at VÃ¥r Energi, where they support WOP with rig interface of subsea equipment and oversees the offshore installation of well head and completion tubing hanger operations. Prior to this, Frode worked as a Senior Subsea Supervisor for BP on Skarv at WellPartner from 2010 to 2013. Frode also served as a Subsea Engineer at FMC Technologies from 2001 to 2010.

Frode Ottesen began their education in 1998, attending Stord Technical Collage, where they studied mechanics. Frode completed their studies there in 1999. Following this, in 1999, Frode Ottesen enrolled at Stavanger Offshore Technical Collage, specializing in oil and gas process and production. Frode completed their studies at this institution in 2000.
