Barry Smallman has over three decades of experience in database administration, specializing in SQL Server. Currently serving as a SQL Server Database Administrator at Vanquis Bank since June 2013, Barry maintains multiple SQL Server instances both on premises and in Azure. Previous roles include being the sole DBA at Celerity Information Services, where responsibility encompassed all SQL Server databases managed by the company, and working at International SOS as the sole DBA in the London office. Barry's earlier career includes positions at Xchanging, Steria Limited, and Lloyd's of London, where various database technologies were utilized across different sectors. Barry's educational background includes studies at Chatham Grammar School for Boys and Chatham Technical High School.
