Alexander Couzis currently serves as the Dean of the Grove School of Engineering and the Daniel and Frances Berg Professor in Chemical Engineering at The City College of New York, a position held since September 1994. In addition to these roles, Alexander has also been an Interim Dean and Department Chair of Chemical Engineering. Since February 2013, Alexander has contributed to Urban Electric Power as a Special Advisor and Chief Technical Officer, focusing on commercialization of advanced zinc anode electrode rechargeable battery technology. Prior experience includes serving as Research Engineer and Chief Executive Officer at International Paper from September 1992 to September 1994 and as a Research Assistant at the University of Michigan from 1987 to 1992. Academic credentials entail a PhD and a Master of Science in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, alongside a Bachelor's degree in the same field from the National Technical University of Athens.
