Vee Vee Tan has a work experience of multiple roles in the banking industry. Vee Vee started their career in 2003 at OCBC Bank as an Assistant Manager for Market, Balance Sheet, and Liquidity Risk Management. In 2004, they moved to UOB Malaysia as Team Lead for Market Risk Control, where they were responsible for setting up the Middle Office to monitor trading activities. In 2007, they were seconded to UOB China to establish the Market Risk Control Department and support the bank's growth in China. After five years, they were given the opportunity to work at UOB Bank in Singapore as Team Lead for Market Risk Control, overseeing monitoring and reporting for Market Making business. Throughout their career, Vee Vee Tan has demonstrated expertise in risk management, teamwork, and communication skills.
Vee Vee Tan completed a Bachelor of Arts (Hons) degree in Accounting and Finance from Lancaster University in 1998. They then pursued a master's degree in Finance, specializing in International Finance, from the same university, which they completed in 2000. Vee Vee Tan also holds a certification as a Financial Risk Manager (FRM) from the Global Association of Risk Professionals (GARP).
