Carlos Otermin Barrera has an extensive work experience in various roles and positions. Carlos began their career in 2010 as a Senior Associate in Corporate Finance at PwC, where they worked until 2014. In 2014, they joined Accenture as a Senior Strategy Consultant.

Carlos then moved to Lazada in 2015, where they held multiple positions over the years. Carlos started as the Head of Sales and later became the SVP, Head of Traffic, Strategy & Planning. In 2018, Carlos was promoted to the role of COO and held this position until 2022 when they became the CEO of Lazada Philippines.

Alongside their corporate roles, Carlos also ventured into startups. In 2010, they became a Startup Advisor and Mentor. In 2019, they co-founded WeClean Philippines, followed by the co-founding of Unlockd in 2021.
