Ron Pragides possesses extensive experience in engineering leadership and advisory roles across various technology companies. Currently a Limited Partner at GTMfund since April 2021, Ron also serves as an advisor and investor for multiple startups. Notably, Ron held significant engineering leadership positions at companies like Trustly, where responsibilities included managing a global team of over 130 engineers, and Carta, overseeing an 80-member team. Additional roles include Vice President of Engineering at AppDirect and BigCommerce, as well as Director of Engineering at Twitter during its IPO. Academic credentials include a BS and MS in Electrical Engineering from the University of Illinois and The University of Texas at Arlington, respectively, along with executive education from the University of California, Berkeley.
