Moustafa Mekawy, PhD, currently serves as an Industry Expert at ProSapient in the UK, where expert consultations in sustainable tourism development, wellness tourism, event management, and tourism infrastructure are provided to clients in the UK and GCC. As a Professor in Tourism Planning & Development at the University of Sadat City since March 2013, Moustafa develops course materials and conducts scholarly research. Previous consulting roles include leadership at the African Consultant Office, focusing on tourism event development in the MENA region, and advising the Ministry of Tourism of Saudi Arabia on tourism strategies and economic impact. Earlier academic positions at Minufiya University involved teaching and research in tourism management. Moustafa holds a PhD in Tourism Management from Suez Canal University and has been a visiting fellow at KU Leuven, specializing in heritage and sustainable tourism development.
