Shauna James has a strong background in student financial services and aid. Shauna started their career at the University of North Alabama in 2010 as a Scholarship Manager and worked there until 2012. Shauna then joined Northwest-Shoals Community College as an Assistant Director of Student Financial Services for a few months before being promoted to the role of Director of Student Financial Services, a position they held until 2015. In 2015, they returned to the University of North Alabama as the Director of Student Financial Aid, a position they currently hold.

Shauna James completed their education at the University of North Alabama. Shauna obtained a Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) degree in Finance, General in 2004. Shauna further pursued their studies at the same university and earned a Master's of Business Administration degree in Management in 2012.
