Alan West serves as the Vice President for Finance and Administration and Chief Financial Officer at Coastal Carolina University since August 2023. Prior to this role, Alan West held various positions at the University of Florida from June 2006 to August 2023, including Assistant Vice President and Treasurer, and Assistant Vice President and University Controller, where responsibilities included overseeing treasury and bursar operations, cash management, and student financial aid disbursements totaling $400 million annually. Earlier experience includes roles as Audit Manager at James Moore & Company and Audit Senior at Keefe, McCullough & Co, LLP. Alan West earned a Doctor of Business Administration from the University of Florida, an MBA from Nova Southeastern University, and both a Bachelor's Degree in General Business and a Bachelor's Degree in Accounting from the University of South Florida.
