Michael Lamoureux is a Professor Emeritus at the University of Calgary, with a notable career in mathematics and its applications, particularly in functional and harmonic analysis, operator theory, and geophysics. Lamoureux has held multiple academic roles, including Head of Mathematics and Statistics and Adjunct Professor of Geoscience, contributing significantly to research and education. As Director of VP Research & Lab Services at FuseForward, leadership in Smart Buildings and Smart Infrastructures technology development was provided through collaborations with Canadian academic teams. Experience also includes serving as Innovation Coordinator at the Pacific Institute for the Mathematical Sciences, Vice President of the Canadian Mathematical Society, and managing grant selection committees at the Natural Sciences and Engineering Research Council of Canada. Lamoureux holds a PhD in Mathematics from the University of California, Berkeley, a Master's from Stanford University, and a Bachelor’s in Mathematics from the University of Alberta.
