Ismael RodrÃguez has a diverse work experience in the medical field. Ismael started their career as an Internal Medicine Resident at St. Luke's-Roosevelt Hospital in 2009 and continued in this role until 2012. During this time, they also served as a Geriatric Fellow, providing support and teaching resources for the inpatient geriatric team. In 2013, they joined the University Medical Center of El Paso as a Hospitalist and stayed until 2015. After a brief break, Ismael returned to the University Medical Center in 2017, this time as the Medical Director of Geriatric Medicine. In 2019, they took on an additional role as the Associate Medical Director of Neighborhood Clinics. Ismael's experience spans various aspects of medical practice, including geriatric care, hospital medicine, and clinic management.
Ismael RodrÃguez has a strong education background in the field of medicine. Ismael attended the University of Puerto Rico, RÃo Piedras from 2001 to 2005, where they obtained a degree in General Sciences with a focus on Natural Sciences. Following this, they enrolled in the University of Puerto Rico School of Medicine from 2005 to 2009 and successfully earned a Doctor of Medicine (M.D.) degree.
In addition to their education, Ismael RodrÃguez also holds two board certifications. Ismael obtained the Internal Medicine Board Certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in September 2012. Furthermore, they acquired the Geriatric Medicine Board Certification from the same institution in January 2014.
