Tim Lerchbacker has a diverse work experience spanning various industries. Tim started their career in 1993 as the owner of two franchise sporting good stores. In 1998, they joined DHL Global Customer Solutions as a Global Customer Manager and was later promoted to the role of Global Industry Director, where they led the startup and development of the audio, video, telecom vertical. Tim also served as a Network Global Account Manager during their time at DHL. In 2005, Tim started their own photography business and later worked for the United States Postal Service, where they managed international integrators and couriers. Tim then held roles at Syncreon and XATA Corporation, where they successfully turned around failing departments. Tim also worked as a Terminal Manager at YRC Freight, where they turned around a failing terminal. Prior to their current role, they served as the Customer Service Manager at Southwestern Controls. Tim is currently working as a Freight Director at Unishippers, supporting franchisees in Texas, Oklahoma, and Colorado.

Tim Lerchbacker has a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Henderson State University, which they obtained from 1970 to 1973. Tim also holds an MBA degree in Business Management from Houston Christian University's Archie W. Dunham College of Business, which they completed from 1983 to 1984. In addition, they have completed various training programs, including Advanced studies on Global Supply Chain at Stanford University in 2002, Large Account Management at Miller Heiman Training in 1998, Xerox Interpersonal Management Skills in 1980, and Xerox Professional Selling Skills I & II in 1980.
