Cole Mietzner, CISSP, has a diverse work experience in the field of information security and compliance. Cole started their career in 2009 at Unifocus, where they served as a Lead Test Engineer. During their time there, they specialized in security testing, including penetration, fuzz, and vulnerability testing. Cole was also responsible for implementing test automation, functional tests, and regression tests. In 2015, Cole joined Healthgrades as an SQL Test Engineer, where they developed SQL for validation purposes and validated ETL processes and reports. Cole also contributed to the development of a data automation strategy. In 2016, they moved to UniFocus as an IT Security and Compliance Officer, where they created and implemented a comprehensive security program and ensured compliance with regulatory requirements. Cole'sresponsibilities included defining security policies, conducting security assessments, and communicating risk to upper management. Currently, Cole is working at TurnKey GRC as a vCISO/Consultant, specializing in information security program engineering and compliance. Cole helps organizations build and improve their security and compliance programs.

Cole Mietzner, CISSP, obtained a Graphic Design Associate of Applied Science (AAS) degree from Arapahoe Community College from 2007 to 2009. In 2013, Cole received a certification in DBA 1: Database Administration from the O'Reilly School of Technology. In 2016, Cole obtained a certificate in Usable Security from Coursera Course Certificates. Cole furthered their education in the field of leadership by completing the Leadership Accelerator program at Learning @ Morning Brew in 2022. Additionally, Cole holds multiple certifications, including the Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP) from (ISC)² in 2019 and the GIAC Security Leadership (GSLC) from GIAC Certifications in 2020.
