Prior to Ultivue, they worked as a Senior Research Scientist at Shanghai Intelligent Research Institute Limited from February 2016 to January 2022.

Lucius He, also known as 常亮, has a strong educational background in the field of biology and microbiology. 常亮/Lucius obtained their Bachelor's degree in Biology from Anhui University, where they studied from 2003 to 2007. Following this, they pursued their Master's degree in Biomedicine at East China Normal University, studying from 2007 to 2010. 常亮/Lucius then continued their academic journey at Fudan University, where they obtained their Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Microbiology, completing their studies from 2010 to 2015.
