Ning Wang began their work experience in 2012 as a Research Scholar at Harvard Medical School. They then worked as a Research Assistant at Peking University from 2013 to 2015. In 2015, they started their role as a Graduate Student at UCLA until 2020. During this time, they also founded a startup called CellMaps in 2019 which focused on building a Google Maps for cells. In 2020, Ning Wang joined Arcus Biosciences as a Bioinformatics Scientist and later became the Senior Bioinformatics Scientist, Bioinformatics Lead on Immuno-Oncology Drug Development. They played a key role in analyzing patient genomic data, led biomarker discovery efforts, and developed a machine learning model for predicting patient response.
Ning Wang completed a Bachelor of Engineering (BE) in Electronic Information Engineering from USTC in 2013. Later, from 2015 to 2020, they earned a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Bioinformatics from UCLA.
