John Freese has a diverse work experience in the insurance industry. John started their career as an Associate Underwriter Trainee at UFG Insurance in January 2018. After that, they worked as an Associate Commercial Underwriter and Associate Risk Control Consultant. In March 2021, they were promoted to the role of Risk Control Consultant. Recently, in March 2022, John has taken on the position of Risk Control Operations Manager at UFG Insurance. Prior to their employment at UFG Insurance, they served as a Commercial Lines Underwriter Intern at United Fire Group from June to August 2017.

John Freese obtained their Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) degree in Economics from The University of Iowa Tippie College of Business from 2016 to 2017. Prior to that, they earned an Associate's Degree in Liberal Arts and Sciences/Liberal Studies from Kirkwood Community College, which they attended from 2014 to 2015. In addition to their formal education, John Freese has obtained several certifications, including the Chartered Property Casualty Underwriter (CPCU) from The Institutes in December 2021, the 30 Hour Card - Construction Industry from the US DEPARTMENT OF LABOR OSHA in June 2021, the Associate in Risk Management (ARM) from The Institutes in June 2020, the Associate in Commercial Underwriting (AU) from The Institutes in August 2019, and the Associate in General Insurance (AINS) from The Institutes in March 2019.
