José Manuel López Pinto, PhD MBA, has extensive work experience in the medical and pharmaceutical industry. José Manuel is currently serving as the Head of Global Medical Affairs - Psoriasis at UCB since May 2022. Prior to this, they held the position of Global Medical Director, Immuno-Dermatology at UCB since January 2021.
Before joining UCB, José worked at Celgene, where they held several roles including Global Senior Medical Lead - Immunology from December 2018 to January 2021, European Senior Medical Lead - Gastroenterology & Liver from August 2017 to January 2021, European RML Community Lead from January 2017 to January 2021, and Regional Medical Liaison I&I from January 2015 to July 2017.
José Manuel started their career at Grünenthal as a Regional Medical Manager from March 2010 to January 2015. Prior to that, they worked at AbbVie as a Medical Scientific Liaison from March 2007 to February 2010. José Manuel also has experience as a Drug Discovery Specialist at Merck Millipore from June 2004 to March 2007.
José has a strong academic background and served as an Associate Professor at Universidad de Sevilla from January 2005 to May 2006. Overall, José Manuel López Pinto has gained significant expertise and leadership skills throughout their career in the medical and pharmaceutical industry.
José Manuel López Pinto earned a Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmD) degree in Pharmacology - Clinical Research from Universidad de Sevilla in 2004. José Manuel also obtained a Master's degree in Pharmacy from the same university, which they completed between 1995 and 2000. In 2013, they attended IE Business School, where they pursued an MBA.
