Matthew Geason ¹ùñRÐÞ is an experienced international investment specialist serving as Portfolio Manager for the Western Hemisphere at the U.S. Department of Commerce since November 2023. Prior to this role, Matthew held the NSEP David L. Boren Fellowship at the United States Department of Defense from April 2021 to November 2022, and worked as a Freeman Foundation International Fellow at the Taipei City Government's Special Projects Office in early 2020. Additional experience includes a position as a Research Analyst at Thomson Reuters from November 2018 to October 2019, as well as coordination and internship roles at the Truman National Security Project between January 2017 and November 2018. Earlier work includes a Research Analyst position at The Potomac Advocates in 2015. Matthew holds a Master of Arts in Asian Studies from the Elliott School of International Affairs and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science from the University of New Hampshire, along with studies at National Chengchi University and National Taiwan Normal University.
