Jarmo Seppälä has a diverse work experience in various roles and organizations. Jarmo is currently working as a UX Designer at twoday Finland since February 2021. Prior to this, they worked as a Research Assistant at Tohoku University from May 2020 to August 2020. Before that, they were a UX Designer at CSC - IT Center for Science from May 2019 to August 2019. Jarmo also gained experience as a Research & Teaching Assistant at Aalto University School of Science and Technology from October 2017 to May 2019. Jarmo worked as a Front-End Developer at Apprix Oy in June 2017 and as a Web Developer Trainee at Mirum Agency from May 2016 to August 2016. Additionally, they were a Web Developer Intern at YaMaYa Corporation in January 2016.
Jarmo Seppälä has a diverse educational background with a focus on information technology and media. Jarmo obtained a Master of Science degree in Information Networks, specializing in User-Centered Design, from Aalto University between 2017 and 2020. Additionally, they pursued studies in Applied Information Sciences at Tohoku University from 2019 to 2020.
Prior to their master's degree, Jarmo completed a Bachelor of Engineering in Media Technology at Metropolia University of Applied Sciences from 2013 to 2017. Jarmo also had the opportunity to broaden their knowledge as an exchange student in the Department of Information Networks at Sendai National College of Technology during the academic year 2015-2016.
In terms of vocational education, Jarmo acquired a Vocational Qualification in Business Information Technology from Keski-Uudenmaan koulutuskuntayhtymä Keuda from 2008 to 2011.
In addition to their formal education, Jarmo has obtained a certification in Web Accessibility Specialist (WAS) from the International Association of Accessibility Professionals (IAAP) in January 2023.
