Tim Bidgood began their work experience in 1996 as a Technologist at Enterprise Oil Plc. Tim then joined Tullow Oil in 2002 as a Senior Technologist, where they were responsible for subsurface mapping and data management, application support, and UNIX and Windows systems administration. In 2011, they were promoted to Lead GIS Analyst at Tullow Oil.

Tim Bidgood earned a BSc (Hons) degree in Geoscience from the University of Exeter in 1996. Tim then pursued an MSc in GISc from Birkbeck, University of London, graduating in 2011. Prior to their university studies, Tim attended Penwith Sixth Form College from 1991 to 1993, and Cape Cornwall Comprehensive School from 1986 to 1991.
