Vivek Mathur's work experience includes a software engineering internship at Truveta in 2021. Vivek also worked as a research intern at Tufts University in 2020, where they developed an algorithm to find genes implicated in Parkinson's disease and created a web server using Django to visualize relationships between predicted genes. At Tufts University, Vivek also worked as a software engineering intern, building and managing a team to develop a website for matching students with similar classes. Vivek worked as a software engineer and teacher at The Coding School in 2020. Vivek was a software engineer at Textbook Exchange Network and Tufts Consulting Collective from 2021 to 2021. Vivek also worked as a software engineering intern at Peabody Soft in 2020, where they contributed to the development of a financial app and implemented various features. Vivek was a software engineer at OnlineContact! in 2020, where they participated in creating an online version of a popular game. Additionally, Vivek was a research intern at ICRISAT in 2020, focusing on data storage methods and the rate of rancidity of different strains of Pearl Millet.

Vivek Mathur pursued their primary and secondary education at the International School of Hyderabad from 2008 to 2019. Vivek completed the International Baccalaureate (IB) program during this period. Afterward, they enrolled at Tufts University in 2019 and is currently pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, which is expected to be completed in 2023.
