Colin Cromar has a diverse work experience in software engineering. In 2020, they began working as a Senior Software Engineer for TravelPass Group, where they administer, expands, and maintains a hotel services platform while migrating to a service-oriented architecture using Ruby on Rails, Elixir, Go, PostgreSQL, Redis, Docker, and AWS. Colin also adds integrations to add support for new hotel supply providers and maintains and expands a merchanting service that routes payments through different payment processors. Additionally, they design and creates new standard structs and processes from multiple different schemas and upgrades an enterprise-scale Rails application from Rails version 4.x.x to 6. Prior to this role, they worked at Instructure from 2015 to 2020 in various roles, including Full Stack Software Engineer, Content Migrations Engineer, Content Migration Specialist, and L1 Support Engineer.
