Oriella Mejia currently serves as an Advisor for External Affairs at the U.S. Department of Transportation and holds the position of Commissioner for Prince William County Parks and Recreation. With extensive experience in public service, Mejia has worked as the Northeastern Regional Director and Constituent Advocate for the United States Senate, and has served as Deputy State Director for Virginia LULAC, where coordination of community events and advocacy efforts took place. Past roles include Election Officer for the State Board of Elections of Virginia, Spanish Interpreter for Arlington County's COVID-19 response, and Case Interviewer for Fairfax County. Mejia has also contributed to health initiatives through positions with Inova Blood Donor Services, the Institute of Public Health Innovation, and La Casa de la Salud. Mejia holds a Bachelor's degree in Health, Physical Education, and Exercise Science from Virginia Commonwealth University.
