Kenny Thomson is an accomplished professional in the offshore drilling industry with extensive experience at Transocean and Ocean Rig. Since May 2019, Kenny has held the position of Senior Manager for Global Operations Support at Transocean, focusing on marketing support, bid economics, and strategy. Prior roles at Transocean include Manager of Financial Planning and Analysis, Transition Manager overseeing the sale of drilling rigs, and Operations Engineer involved in project planning and safety initiatives. Kenny's experience at Ocean Rig encompassed roles as Marketing and Contracts Manager and Assistant Operations Director for the UDW Drillship Athena. With a Bachelor of Engineering in Mechanical Engineering from Heriot-Watt University, Kenny has a solid technical foundation complemented by participation in Operations Management Development and Rig Engineer Programs.
