Diana Bojanova

Lead Scientist at Transition Biomining

Diana Bojanova, Ph.D., currently serves as Lead Scientist at Transition Biomining, Inc. since February 2024. Previously, Diana held roles at the University of Southern California as a Graduate Bioinformatician and Biogeochemist from August 2017 to November 2023, where key research focused on microbial metabolism and geochemistry in the Guaymas Basin. Additional academic positions included Graduate Teaching Assistant for geobiology and oceanography courses. Prior experience includes conducting microbiological research across institutions such as the International Ocean Discovery Program, University of Maryland, Vanderbilt University, and University of Chicago, addressing topics such as sulfate-reducing microorganisms and ammonia-oxidizing archaea. Diana earned a Ph.D. in Geosciences from the University of Southern California and dual Bachelor's degrees from the University of Chicago in Geophysical and Biological Sciences.
