Dana L. McMaster has extensive work experience in the mental health and addiction services field. Dana L. has held various roles in different organizations throughout their career.
Starting in 1995, McMaster worked as a Program Director at Pressley Ridge, where they were responsible for program design, development, fiscal management, and clinical oversight. Dana L. also oversaw federal grant programs during their time there.
In 2005, McMaster transitioned to the Prestera Center for Mental Health Services, Inc., where they held multiple roles. As the Director of Addiction Services from 2012 to 2020, they provided administrative and clinical oversight for all clinical services, managed fiscal responsibilities, developed programs, and ensured the delivery of services to substance abuse and mental health clients. McMaster also served as the Director of Outpatient and Residential Clinical Services from 2010 to 2012, and as a Substance Abuse/Mental Health Therapist from 2005 to 2010.
Additionally, they worked as a Therapist, Consultant, and Clinical Supervisor at Aspire to Inspire Behavioral Health and Addiction Services, LLC from 2018 to 2019. In this role, they provided professional consultation, community education, training, and clinical supervision to counselors and clinicians.
McMaster also has experience as a Consultant/Trainer at the Law Enforcement Assisted Diversion-WV Office Of Drug Control Policy from 2018 to 2020 and as a Mental Health Therapist at KPCC Counseling from 2020 to 2021.
Their most recent position is as the Executive Director at Rea of Hope, where they were responsible for overseeing the organization's operations from October 2021 to February 2022.
McMaster is currently working as a Clinic Director at Transformations Care Network, a position they started in March 2022.
Dana L. McMaster holds a Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, which was obtained from Marshall University in the period from 1984 to 1989. Following this, Dana pursued a Master's Degree in Counseling and Rehabilitation with a specialization in Mental Health from Marshall University, which was completed from 1989 to 1991. Dana has also obtained several certifications, including being a Licensed Professional Counselor and Licensed Social Worker from the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Counseling and the West Virginia Board of Examiners in Social Work, respectively. Furthermore, Dana holds certifications such as Advanced Alcohol and Drug Counselor-Supervisor and National Certified Counselor from various institutions, including the West Virginia Certification Board of Addiction and Prevention Professionals and the National Board of Certified Counselors. Dana has additional certifications in the fields of Clinical Criminal Justice, Sex Offender Treatment, and Addiction Counseling from the National Association of Forensic Counselors.
