Peter Beerens is a senior scientist in acoustics and sonar at TNO, a position held since April 1996. Prior to this role, Peter Beerens was a PhD student at NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research from 1991 to 1996 and worked as a physics teacher at Jac. P. Thijsse College during 1990 to 1991. Peter Beerens holds a Master's degree in Physics and Astronomy with a focus on Astronomy and Astrophysics from the University of Amsterdam (1985 - 1990) and a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in Physical Oceanography from Utrecht University (1991 - 1996).
