Bertel Kirkeby has worked in a variety of roles since 2006. In 2006, they worked as a singing waiter at Restaurant Teaterkælderen. From 2011 to 2014, they worked at VPM Maskiner as a translator, translating the company website from Danish to French and user guides and technical information regarding the company's products. From 2011 to 2014, they also worked at Aarhus School of Business and Social Sciences as a Servicedesk Support Coordinator and IT Instructor, where they were responsible for internal communication and campaigns on campus, as well as course planning and execution. Bertel also worked as a Teaching Assistant, coordinating and executing courses in French Grammar for students at Aarhus University. In 2014, they worked at LIND DNA as a Marketing and PR Coordinator. From 2016 to 2017, they worked at Siemens as a Technical Writer, creating, updating, reviewing work instructions, control instructions, and checklists used on the shop floor to manufacture blades, as well as translating the above to/from English, Danish, and French and coordinating translations to enable start-up of new blade plant in Morocco. From 2017 to 2018, they worked at Siemens Gamesa as an Onshore Communication Specialist. Finally, from 2018 to the present, they have worked at TinyMobileRobots as a Marketing Manager.

Bertel Kirkeby has an education history that includes a Cand.ling.merc. from Aarhus University in International Market Communications and Public Relations in French (2013-2015), a Bachelor of Arts in International Business Communication from Aarhus University in French (2009-2013), and a Student at Herning Gymnasium in Sproglig (2003-2006). Additionally, they have obtained certifications in Telecommunications in Customer Support from Undervisningsministeriet (Handel, Administration, Kommunikation og Ledelse) in March 2009, and a Pædagogisk grundkursus from Aarhus School of Business.
