Ashton Onisick has been working in the education field for over 15 years. In 2019, they began working as a Tinkergarten Leader for Tinkergarten. Prior to that, they were a Substitute Teacher for Substitute Teacher Service, Inc. from 2018-2013. In 2015, they were a 4th Grade Teacher and a 3rd Grade Long Term Sub for Butler Elementary School. Ashton was also a Long Term Substitute Teacher and a Substitute Teacher for Lexington Public Schools from 2014-2013, and a Summer LIFT Teacher for Upper Merion Area School District in 2013. In 2012, they were a Student Teacher for Upper Darby School District, and a Childcare Provider for various families from 2004.

Ashton Onisick obtained their Bachelor of Science in Psychology from the University of Pittsburgh between 2007 and 2011. Ashton then went on to obtain a Teaching Certification in Early Grades Preparation (PreK-4) from West Chester University of Pennsylvania between 2011 and 2012. In 2013, Ashton obtained an Early Elementary Teaching Certificate from the PA Dept. of Education. Prior to this, Ashton attended Harriton Senior High School between 2003 and 2007.
