Juan Vara began their career in 2006 as a RTS NOC at Xerox. In 2015, they moved to Atos to take on the same role. In 2016, they joined Plateau Telecommunications as a Cyber Security Engineer and IT Support Specialist.

Juan Vara attended Clovis Community College from 2012 to 2014 and obtained an Associate of Science (AS) in Information Technology. Juan also attended bovina high school. In addition, Juan Vara has obtained several certifications, including a Certified Expert Penetration Tester (CEPT) from Infosec in October 2022, a Certified Ethical Hacker (CEH) from EC-Council in November 2021, a CompTIA Security+ ce Certification from CompTIA in August 2021, and an Interactive Client Certified Engineer.
