Keagan Ringling

Manager of Food and Nutrition Science at The Plant Pathways Company

Keagan Ringling has a diverse work experience in various roles and industries. From May 2014 to May 2016, Keagan worked as a Group Fitness Instructor at the University of Minnesota Recreation and Wellness. In May 2016, Keagan joined the Bay State Milling Company as a Corporate Quality Assurance, leading compliance efforts and managing technical data. From August 2016 to September 2017, Keagan held the position of Graduate Research Assistant at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, conducting research on whole-value chain improvement of novel crops and developing economic predictive models. During the same period, Keagan also served as a Graduate Teaching Assistant, involved in various student leadership and research initiatives within the Department of Food Science and Nutrition. From August 2020 to August 2021, Keagan worked as a Consultant at Nutrition Sustainability Strategies, managing projects at the intersection of nutrition, sustainability, and business. Keagan engaged with agribusiness R&D and business development programs, identifying opportunities for new crop and ingredient development. Currently, Keagan is the Business Development Manager at The Plant Pathways Company, responsible for identifying and pursuing new business opportunities. In January 2023, Keagan will transition into the role of Manager of Food and Nutrition Science. Overall, Keagan's experience includes research, teaching, consulting, and leadership roles in the fields of food science and nutrition.

Keagan Ringling completed a Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) degree in Nutrition at the University of Minnesota from 2016 to 2020. Before that, from 2013 to 2016, they obtained a Bachelor of Science (BS) degree in Nutrition Sciences from the same university. In 2012 to 2013, they attended the University of South Dakota and pursued coursework in the field of Health Services/Allied Health/Health Sciences, General, however, no specific degree was indicated.
