Hina Musa has extensive experience in the nonprofit sector, with a focus on child welfare, poverty alleviation, and economic development. Hina currently holds the position of Chief Program Officer at Miracle Foundation, where they utilize data and technology to support orphans and vulnerable children. Prior to this, they served as the Interim Chief Executive Officer at Social Enterprise Greenhouse.
From 2017 to 2022, Hina worked at LIFT, Inc., where they held various roles, including Senior Program Director and Program Director. During their time at LIFT, they led a regional program team and built partnerships to empower families in breaking the cycle of poverty through financial and career coaching. Hina also managed program staff and achieved ambitious goals in improving families' income, savings, education, and employment.
Before joining LIFT, Hina worked as the Chief Executive Officer/Executive Director and Interim Executive Director at the Greater Southeast Management District. In these positions, they oversaw economic development initiatives and successfully collected assessment revenue for infrastructure and social initiatives. Additionally, they expanded programs for small businesses and job seekers, secured a partnership with Kiva for microfinance services, and managed consultants and contractors.
Hina began their career as a Project Manager for ASKS Micro Finance Organization, where they conducted field research and initiated a development program for microfinance borrowers in rural Bangladesh. Hina also served as the Scholarship Coordinator for the Microcredit Summit Campaign, coordinating the selection and management of scholarship recipients at a global anti-poverty organization.
Through their various roles, Hina has demonstrated a commitment to social impact and a proven ability to lead teams, establish partnerships, and achieve measurable outcomes in the nonprofit sector.
Hina Musa completed their B.A. degree in Government at The University of Texas at Austin from 2005 to 2009. Hina then pursued further education at Harvard Kennedy School, where they obtained their Master of Public Administration (MPA) degree from 2021 to 2022.
