Carly D Shiner has a diverse range of work experience in the field of technical theater and production management. Carly D began their career in 2013 at Porthouse Theatre, where they worked as Box Office Staff and later as House Manager, demonstrating their organizational skills and ability to coordinate with various departments.

In 2015, Carly joined Shenandoah University as a Lighting Designer, Technical Director, and Production Manager. Carly D also took on the role of Auxiliary Adjunct Lecturer, highlighting their expertise and dedication to the field.

Carly's career continued to flourish as they joined the Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Festival as Master Electrician in 2016 and Baltimore Center Stage as Master Electrician in 2017. Carly D also served as Lighting + Sound Supervisor for Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater's Ailey II.

Carly's passion for lighting and technical theater led their to The Juilliard School in 2018, where they worked as Head Electrician for The Willson Theater. Their role involved overseeing electrical operations and maintaining safety standards.

In 2020, Carly joined the Guggenheim Museum as an Exhibition Electrician, further expanding their expertise in lighting and exhibition installations. Following their time at the Guggenheim, Carly joined Dorrance Dance in 2017 as the Technical Director and Lighting Supervisor, demonstrating their leadership skills and ability to manage complex technical productions.

Most recently, Carly joined Chelsea Factory as a Technical Director, where they utilized their knowledge and experience to oversee technical aspects of productions. In 2022, they joined The Kagency as an Operations Coordinator, showcasing their adaptability and ability to handle administrative and operational tasks.

Carly D Shiner completed their education at Kent State University from 2009 to 2013, where they obtained a Bachelor of Fine Arts (BFA) degree in Technical Theatre/Theatre Design and Technology. Prior to that, they attended Green High School from 2005 to 2009. Additionally, in May 2013, Carly obtained certifications in CPR and First Aid from the Red Cross.
