Mrs. James brings 25 plus years of experience and expertise working in the educational field to The Foundation Schools. Mrs. James holds a Bachelor’s of Science Degree in Psychology and a Master’s Degree in Counseling and a Master’s Degree in Special Education with a specialty area in educating emotionally disabled students. Mrs. James currently serves on the Board of Directors for the District of Columbia Association for Special Education (DCASE) and has served on the Board of the Maryland Association of Nonpublic Special Education Facilities (MANSEF). She is also part of Leadership Prince George’s and Leadership Montgomery.
Mrs. James is proud to announce that they have recently expanded the services and have opened The Foundation Learning Center to serve students with autism in grades K-8. Mrs. James’ goal is to continue the important work of helping the students overcome their social-emotional, learning, and communication challenges so they can improve their academic and social skills and see a brighter future.
